Abstract
27,287. Hass, H. Nov. 27. Screw propellers. -Fluid - directing blades are fitted in advance of a screw propeller being carried by the tailshaft bearing or mounted directly upon the vessel. The guide - blades 2 are arranged on a sleeve 1 in advance of the propeller 3 with their curvature opposite to the direction of rotation of the propeller.
