Abstract

Linear-dimension gauges.-Calliper gauges of the kind having a vernier movable jaw adjustable by means of a pinion engaging the edge of the limb are fitted with a lever for clamping the movable jaw to the limb. The lever k is forked and screws on one end of the pivot i of an eccentric disk c on which the pinion b is journaled, the other end of the pivot being prevented from turning. When the lever is pressed into the dotted-line position, it pinches in the sides of the vernier a so as to grip the limb d of the fixed jaw.
