Abstract

20,353. Kutzner, G. Sept. 6. Vehicle windows.- Sliding windows are mounted on arms 3, having upper T-headed studs 6 sliding in grooves 7 in the sashstiles 8, lower pins 12 engaging grooves in the door-stiles 1, and central pivoted disks carrying eccentric pins 10 engaging the grooves 7. At the upper ends of the grooves 2 in the door are mounted channel members 5 having antifriction rollers 14, and inclined slots 13. When the window is fully open, the sash and the arms 3 occupy the well of the door. During the initial closing movement the arms 3 remain stationary, the studs 6 and pins 10 sliding in the grooves 7 until the pins 10 reach the lower ends of these grooves. The sash and arms 3 are then raised together to the position shown in Fig. 3, the pins 12 entering the inclined slots 13. The sash may then be lifted over the weather rail into the position shown in Fig. 4, the eccentric pins 10 on the pivoted disks allowing the outward movement of the lower end of the sash. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 2125/74, 3555/78, [both in Class 108, Road vehicles], and 11,229/07, 19,164/07, 5481/09, 23,212/10, 828/11, and 9651/12.
