Abstract
16,486. Josephy's (Erben), G. Aug. 24, 1911, [Convention date]. Mules.-In a carriage running-out mechanism. in which the carriage is driven during the first portion of the outward run through a first countershaft operated from the roller shaft and during jacking through a second countershaft operated from the rim shaft, a clutch is mounted on the second countershaft in the form of a pawl and ratchet-wheel, and this ratchet - wheel is interchangeable w i t h that on the roller shaft. During the yarn delivery portion of the outward run, the roller shaft Z is driven from the rim shaft through gearing H, T<1>, T<2>, C and clutch E, and the carriage shaft A is driven through the ratchetwheel R and gearing V<1>, V<2>, V<3>, V<4>, and W. The gears V<3>, V<4> are mounted on what is termed the first countershaft. When the roller clutch E is opened, the drive to the carriage shaft A is through gearing H, T<1>, T<2>, S, G, the ratchet-wheel R<2>, and gearing D, W. The ratchet-wheel R<2>, and the gears G, D are mounted upon the second countershaft, which is adjustable in the bracket N.
