Abstract

13,610. Shill, C. R., and Shill, A. E. June 10 Paper and like bags.-A folding carrier bag of paper or like light material and in shape resembling a kit bag is made by folding a single rectangular blank of the material. The blank has two creases formed parallel with its longer sides, and a number of creases parallel with its shorter sides, and also has diagonal creases. The blank is folded along two of the lateral creases 4, 8, to form the bottom and sides, and along the longitudinal creases 12, to form the ends. Strips of adhesive material 14 are then stuck on to the end pieces to keep them together. The sides are strengthened at the mouth by strips of suitable material, and a sheet of cardboard or the like 16 is glued to the bottom of the bag. The bag is provided with carrying-handles preferably in the manner described in Specification 20,784/11, [Class 133, Trunks &c.]. A rectangular wire stiffener 17 hinged at 18 to one side of the bag and provided with a supporting- hook 20, is provided to keep the bag distended when in use.
