Paper bags. - A box or bag, shaped like a kit bag and made from one or more sheets of paper, card board, fabric, or like material forming a blank scored as shown in Fig. 1, has a mouth provided with two closing-flaps, which are folded on themselves and may enclose strengthening - rods i, Fig. 3, which may serve as handles, or to which handles, such as are described in Specification 6824 / 09, [Class 133, Trunks &c.], may be attached. The box or bag may be fastened by a sealed band passed through eyelets j, and may be either collapsible or non- collapsible. When it is made collapsible and of thin material, a strengthening lining may be used to hold it in its extended form. The lining consists of parts k fixed to the sides c and having flaps m, l, the parts l being turned down to cover the bottom of the extended box, and turned up when the box is to be collapsed. Other lining-pieces w are either fixed to the ends d, in which case they are scored to permit folding, or are hinged to one of the parts k. The box is collapsed by folding the ends d inwards or outwards about their centre-lines, and by folding the bottom outwards or inwards respectively.
