Abstract
13,135. MÚnagÚ, E. L. L. June 22, 1911, [Convention date], Rotary disk valves.-In an internal-combustion engine, a rotary disk valve c mounted on the cylinder head controls the exhaust passage g and the inlet passage f. Leakage at both faces of the valve is prevented by sockets h, h<1> pressed against the valve by springs. These sockets have packing-rings i, i<1>. The socket k is bevelled at m to prevent excessive pressure between the socket and the valve, and it is also bevelled at n to facilitate the passage of the gas. The valve is made hollow to prevent over-heating.
