Circular-flow type; nozzles.-In circular-flow turbines of the kind in which the motive fluid flows radially inwards and outwards through a single set of blades, the nozzles and reversing chambers comprise a grooved base-plate X, a cover-plate X<5> containing a groove X<7> forming the nozzle, cover-plates Z, and guide-blocks Z<2>, the whole being secured together and to the turbine casing by screws X<2>, X', Z<1>. The passages Z<3> formed by the plates X, Z, and blocks Z<2> decrease in cross-sectional area in the direction of flow, this decrease being effected partly by the shape of the blocks Z<2> and partly by varying the depth of the grooves.
