11,872. Arnott, P. R. May 18. Boat raising, lowering, and securing gear.- Relates to ships' davits of the outboard swing- ing-frame type such as are described in Specification 14,962/11. The boat is prevented from swinging by lashings G<1>, G<2> secured to the upper longitudinal member of the frame passed round the boat and secured by a bolt H to the central stanchion D. The bolt may be released when required by pulling the lanyard H', which operates a hasp H<2>.
