Holders.-A lamp having a bayonet-joint connexion with the holder d is locked in position by a device e screwed or otherwise attached to a ring a, which supports the shade c and is provided with inwardly-turned teeth b adapted to pass readily over the usual screw-threads into position on the holder d, but removable only by unscrewing. The pins of the lamp are placed at an angle into the ring e before it is secured to the ring a, and the flange f closes the mouths of the bayonet-slots to prevent withdrawal of the lamp.
