Abstract

8785. Knight, J. April 13. Blades, fixing.-The pitch-pieces are formed each with a locking-piece or projection fitting into a slot in the adjacent blade and in a groove in the rotor, the locking-piece being arranged to engage with a corresponding recess in the back of the adjacent pitch-piece. The pitchpiece c, Fig. 2, is provided with a projection a. having a bevelled surface c<2>, the projection fitting into a slot in the blade f, Fig. 4, and into a groove h in the rotor. The forward end of the projection a engages a corresponding recess in the back of the adjacent pitch-piece, enabling the ring of blades and pitch-pieces to be secured by the final caulking of the last pitchpiece.
