8605. Swett, W. H. April 11. Projectiles. -Relates to jacketed bullets in which the core is made of two parts, a heavy front one 11 and a lighter rear one 10. According to the invention, the parts are held together by a casing 12, which encloses the rear part and a portion of the front part and is swaged in, either with a second casing 13, Fig. 2, enclosing the remaining portion of the front part, or into a nosepiece 25, Fig. 5. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 14,672/03 and 9876/07.
