Abstract

7129. Asbury, A. G. March 23. Crochet-work.-Relates to a tension device to be carried on the finger for use in crocheting &c. The device is mounted on or forms part of a ring 2 and may comprise a pair of adjustable spring-pressed disks 3 between which the thread is drawn. The thread may also pass through an eye or eyes 6. In another form the eye 6 is made in the screw 4 on which the disks 3 are mounted. Other forms of tension arrangements include a pair of spring blades between which the thread passes and provided with an adjusting-nut, a leaf spring under which the thread is passed, and a spring ring mounted on the ring 2 ; or the device may be made of a coil of wire 17 with an eye 6 and a wire tension 18 or a disk tension as described.
