Jackets and covers; tyre attachments to rims. -A two-part rubber tread d, d<1> is secured in compression by rivets j between leather rings b, b', and c, c', forming, with the strips b<2>, c<2>, the cover for the air-tube i. The inner edges of the strips b<2>, c<2>, overlap, one edge being attached to the rim by security bolts o. The outer edges of these strips engage, with other leather rings g and washers k, in registering grooves in the tread parts d, d<1>. The tyre is attached to the rim by clips l riveted to the edges of the cover, the clips and washers m having apertures in which the material of the cover becomes embedded.
