Jackets and covers; tyre attachments to rims. - A sectional tyre cover b of the type described in Specification 23,724/06 is formed with plain edges b<1> to which metal beads c are secured by rivets d or by lacing &c. The outer edges c<2> of the plates cl are preferably turned over as shown to prevent cutting of the tyre. The cover section may be first formed tubular to facilitate the stretching operation.
