3718. Beldam, G. W., and Ryall, A. U. B. Feb. 13. Tyre attachments to rims.-The edges of a tyre cover a have inextensible cores c and deep grooves i in which engage lips h on the rim flanges f. The grooves i may be interrupted and may be lined with metal or other hard material. In a modification, the grooves are replaced by sockets with spring-clip liners to receive corresponding projections on the rim flanges. The meeting edges of the cover may be curved as indicated at m. In the form shown, the rim flanges are reversible for use with ordinary beaded-edge covers.
