Abstract
23,700. Roths, H., and Schwyzer, G. Oct. 26. Jackets and covers; tread bands, projections, and surfaces.-A leather tread band e is given the required form by crimping or gathering the leather at the edges, which are then riveted to hooked plates f by which the cover is secured to the rim, so that the edges remain contracted. Rubber or leather strips g are secured over the plates f to make a tight joint with the rim. A studded leather tread strip a is secured by fasteners d, which present no projecting parts engaging with the air-tube or tyre cover.
