Mitering.-Mitre-cutting apparatus consists of a base-plate a carrying a work fence z, a cradle b pivoted on the base-plate a, and a hand-saw f working in tongued guides h, i carried by a guide-member having offset tongues so as to be vertically slidable on guides v, u on a post c mounted on the cradle. The tongues p, u on the guides h, i are held in position by spring catches m. The guidemember also carries adjustable guides k, between which the saw-blade slides. The cradle b may be secured at the required angle by means of a spring lever d having a lug e engaging recesess g in the base-plate a. The pivot pin q of the cradle b is mounted on a spring lever t so that it may be withdrawn by means of a pin n.
