Moulds; guiding moulds.-Bushes for bearings are cast with a strengthening-core a<Î> in moulds comprising inner and outer members a<1>, b secured to independent cap and base-plates d, c provided with ribs n engaging grooves in the members. The outer members may be secured by rabbets o and by ridges passing through lugs (not shown). The plates are clamped by a screw l provided with openings j, h to allow air or water cooling. The cap plate is provided with vents g and pouring block r, and both plates receive pins f for supporting the insert. To produce split bushes, division-plates are introduced into the mould and pouring-channel.
