26,583. Lewis, T. H. Nov. 28. Movable - abutment type; valve - gear.-Two annular chambers 7, bridged at diametrically opposite points by vanes 9, are formed in the opposite faces of a rotor 8. Abutments 11 are withdrawn axially to allow the vanes 9 to pass by means of links 16, 12 and cams 14 on the rotor shaft 5. A reversing valve 19 supplies motive fluid to inlet ports 20 or 20<a> controlled by cam-operated cut-off valves 22, and exhaust takes place through ports 26 or 26<a> controlled by hand-operated valves 27. Specifications 4444/01 and 22,490/01, describing engines of the same type, are referred to.
