Couplings, disconnectible.-In hose-couplings for vacuum railway brakes, each half coupling is formed with a split or divided socket a into which is inserted the extremity of a hose-pipe b, which may be reinforced with a metal liner and the socket then tightened. A rubber washer d may be formed integral with the hosepipe b, or it may be inserted between the halfcoupling and the hose-pipe or metal liner.
