Abstract

25,574. Gumprecht, F. G., and Colling- wood, C. J. Nov. 16. Disk-engine and inclined-shaft type; compensating for irregularity of flow.-The inlet and outlet passages of a pump are connected by a port controlled by a valve E<2> which responds to excessive pressure in the delivery pipe at a point beyond an ordinary non-return valve. Fluid under pressure is conveyed from such a point by a pipe H to the underside of a piston H<1> integral with the valve. The engine comprises the usual inclined disk revolubly mounted in an oblique bearing on the main shaft.
