24,973. Minder, S. Nov. 9. Gas hand-irons.-The body of the iron consists of two superposed portions a, b the upper of which has cut - away edges to form air inlets l. Depending hollow ribs a<2> serve as burner ducts and form, with the walls of the lower part b, air - admission passages. The floor of the iron has a central longitudinal rib b<2> with a number of lateral ribs b<3>. The gas is supplied through a tube which passes through the handle, and the supply pipe may be attached to either end of this tube. In a modification, a perforated pipe is employed instead of forming the ribs a<2> entirely hollow.
