Motor power plant.-Co-axial propellers on aeroplanes are driven in opposite directions through chains by separate engines arranged on opposite sides of the axis of rotation of the propellers. Where rotary engines 2<a>, 3<a> are used, they are mounted in the same plane, and drive the propellers 2, 3 through chain gearing in opposite directions.
