Abstract

19,232. Johnson, H. W., and Jecks, A. S., [Griffiths, J. P.]. Aug. 28. Carrying; aiming-rests.-Consists in a guncarrying device comprising a loop b hanging from the shoulder strap, the two. sides of the loop being fastened across the outer side of the gun by a clip e. In the case of a military rifle, the cocking-piece hooks over the loop, but in a sporting gun a special clip k, Fig. 3, is attached to the bottom of the loop and adapted to clasp the small part of the stock. The sling, when detached, may be used as an aiming-rest, as shown in Fig. 5. Cartridge pouches may be carried by the sling.
