Abstract

145,378. Griffiths, J. P. Dec. 31, 1919. Equipment. -In military equipment, the waist belt is capable of being used as a bandoleer and comprises a two-part belt with a. buckle a, Fig. 1, at the back and with all the parts of the equipment detachable. Runners H<1>, H<2> each support one of the straps of a haversack and water-bottle, the other straps being attached to metal pieces on the waistbelt. The ammunition pouches C' are attached to the belt by straps c<3>, Fig. 2, passing through slits a<1>, a<2> and secured bv a buckle c<4>. A detachable runner I with a spring clip i serves for steadying any object carried. The braces D<1>, D<2> are attached to metal pieces on pouches E, E<1> and to the runners H<1> H<2>, which also serve for attachment to the kit strap K<1>, K<2>.
