Oil - supply fittimgs; burners, mounting.- Liquid-fuel is forced to the burner of a lamp, stove, &c. from a reservoir by compressed air from a chamber to which it is connected by a pipe provided with a combined regulating and stop valve such as shown in Fig. 2. In the lamp-stove, Fig. 1, the reservoir a and burner d may be carried on removable legs g to permit of their being placed at the same level as the air-chamber f, the pipe i being disconnectable at j, k and replaceable, if necessary, by another for this purpose. The valve in this pipe comprises a casing l closed at its upper end by a diaphragm n, which is held in place by a perforated extension o and secured to a screwed stem y carrying a screwed valve w by means of a saddle x. Compressed air passes in at s, and out through the passages u, t, its pressure being controlled by movements of the diaphragm n and a spring B beneath a screwplug A. The valve w can be closed by turning the nut C. In a modification, the air chamber and reservoir form separate compartments of a single casing. In other arrangements, the burner and air chamber, or the burner only, are indoors, the other parts being outside.
