Detaching from and attaching to permanent hubs; double wheels arranged side by side. - A spare wheel a, Fig. 1, is fitted over the projecting end of a car wheel hub c, the adjacent faces of the hubs being provided with interengaging projections and recesses such as the heads of the bolts K, n, and registering holes in the hub faces, and is held laterally by setscrews l<1> screwed into tapped holes in the heads of the bolts K, or by a flange q<1> on the hub cap q as in Fig. 2. Bosses with interengaging projections and recesses may be cast on the faces of the hubs; and, where necessary, a distancepiece adapted to engage with both may be placed between them.
