Monoazo dyes are obtained by combining the diazo compounds of o-aminophenol-4-sulphonic acid or its substitution products, such as chlor, nitro, and methyl derivatives, with 2:4: 4<1>-triaminodiphenyl; the product from 6-nitro- 2-amino-phenol-4-sulphonic acid is described in an example. The products dye wool brown shades with chrome mordants.
