Monoazo dyes are obtained by combining diazotized toluidines or their sulphonic acids with chlor -1 - aryl - 3 - methyl - 5 - pyrazolone sulphonic acids, or by combining the same diazo compounds with acetoacetic ester and condensing the products with chlorarylhydrazine sulphonic acids. The product from p-toluidine and 2<1>- chlor - 1 - phenyl - 3 - methyl - 5 - pyrazolone- 41-sulphonic acid, or acetoacetic ester and 2- chlorphenylhydrazine-4-sulphonic acid is specified; o-toluidine and 2-toluidine-5-sulphonic acid are also specified as parent materials. The products dye wool greenish-yellow shades in acid baths. Specification 7821/09 is referred to.
