Rotary apparatus.-Revolving distributing- apparatus comprises a tipping cistern, which when full, delivers the liquid to the distributing- arms, and, by gearing, causes the revolution of these distributing-arms. Fig. 1 shows one form of the apparatus. Liquid is fed from the shoot K to the tipping-bucket D pivoted on the central cistern C. When one of the buckets D discharges, the liquid flows to one of the arms M, and is distributed on the bed. The spindle of the buckets carries at each end a lever and pawl E, which engages with a rack B and propels the arms. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the central column is dispensed with, and the liquid is fed to the buckets from a cross-pipe Y. A single arm and bucket may be used, as shown in Fig. 4.
