Cleaning internally, rotary appliances for. - Relates to a holder and feed - device specially applicable to rotary cleaners of the kind described in Specification 6427/11, having a tubular member d through which the rotating flexible shaft g passes to the cutter head c. The holder, which is specially adapted for cleaning tapering tubes, comprises a head a in which the member d is clamped. The head a terminates in a screw h, engaging a nut i, which is angular in plan form, but has a spherical seating-surface, bearing in a member j, so that the nut can rock, but not rotate. The member j is temporarily secured in the tube by radial screws k. The action of the cleaner c causes rotation of the screw h, so that the cleaner e traverses a spiral path.
