Folding boxes; lined boxes.-A collapsible box of manilla board &c. is formed so that at each corner there are two flaps 16, 22, one on each of the adjacent side pieces, extending the whole depth of the box. One of these flaps 16, is permanently secured to the adjacent side by wire stitching &c. 38, and the other, when the box is erected is secured by a lug 30 engaging in a diagonal slot 32. When the box is used for carrying butter, it is fitted with an airtight lining of parchment paper and coated outside with waterproof solution. The lid may be made in the same way as the box, or pressed out of one piece of material.
