Gunwales.-The hulls of boats, constructed of sheet metal or provided with an improved form of gunwale formed in one part from the bow to the stern and consisting of sheet metal bent so that part forms a gunwale portion A horizontally situated, and a part B forms a vertical portion which is secured to the boat's side. A corrugation C may be made in the vertical portion near the top of the plating or lower down, or more than one corrugation may be made. The inner edge of the gunwale is rounded.
