Shuttles.-A device to facilitate threading consists of a single piece of metal having a shank by which it is fastened to the shuttle, a bed-piece b<5> which rests against the body of the shuttle, a tube b<7>, a guide-piece b with a rounded nose b<4>, and guard-pieces b<1>, b<2>. To thread a shuttle, a loop of yarn is passed round the nose b<4>, andthe free end is pulled, thus causing the inner end to slide down the guide b and enter the tube at its inner end b<6>, while the outer end enters the tube at its outer end b<3>.
