Abstract
300,132. Mezeray, F. H. Nov. 5, 1927, [Convention date]. Shuttles.-A device for insertion in a shuttle to facilitate the threading thereof comprises a bronze or other metal member AB shown in plan, end view, and side view in Figs. 1, 2, and 4, and having a longitudinal groove b, a with a double U-shaped bend leading tangentially at t into a hole T, a wall or lip C preventing the weft from becoming unthreaded. In use, the! weft F is drawn through the longitudinal groove into the hole T and the free end is guided in front of a. part g into a space between a pin h and that part, the eye of the shuttle being opposite that space. The device is secured in the shuttle by a stud D and a pin E. The devices are made right and left hand according to the direction of the unwinding of the weft from the cop.
