3940. Coventry Chain Co., and Hill, A. S. Feb. 16. Chain-wheels; toothed wheels.-In a resilient chain or like wheel of the kind in which the rim and hub portions are provided with lugs between which springs are interposed, one set of lugs is connected by a ring to provide an increased bearing-surface. In the construction shown, the rim D is provided with webs E carrying a ring F which bears upon the hub A. Springs G are located between the webs E and lugs C on the side plate of the A. The side plate H may be separate from the hub, or, if desired, it may be attached to the rim. Lubricant may be applied to oil holes K. In a modification, two rows of springs are employed. If desired, the ring portion may be attached to the hub, the construction being reversed.
