Securing flaps in a given relative position.- In order to hold a bag, purse, reticule, kit-bag, or the like in its fully open position, one of the frame members is provided with an extension adapted to engage with a spring detent carried by the other member. An extension D, Fig. 1, which may have a recess D<3> adapted to cover the head of the inlet E, secured to the flange C<1> of one frame member C. A spring B has a button B<3> passing through a hole in the flange and a detent B<2>, and is secured to the flange of the other frame member A<1>. The detent is adapted to take into a slot in the extension D when the bag is fully open. On pressing the button, the detent is released and the bag can be closed. The extension may be covered by a flap or pocket in or upon the material of which the bag is formed. In a modification, the extension D, Fig. 3, is integral with the member C, and has a slot D<4> and bevellel part D<5> adapted to be engaged by the detent B<2> carried by a spring B on the member A. In another modification, the spring B has two upturned parts adapted to engage recesses formed on opposite sides of the integral extension of the frame member.
