Wallets etc.; bags, purses, &c. - A case for Treasury notes, cheques, bills, &c., is formed of two rectangular pieces of leather, &c., stitched together around the four edges, as shown in the opened out form in Fig. 1, the inner piece being cut to provide a pocket 2 and a movable flap 1. When the contents are inserted, the case may be folded along two or more vertical lines and secured by a fastener 3. Pockets for postage stamps may be provided on the part 2, and this part may sometimes be secured at both ends. In the construction shown in Fig. 5, the inner leather piece is secured to the outer along three edges only, leaving an insertion opening at 5, while withdrawal openings 6 are provided. The opening 5 may be omitted; also one of the openings 6 may be dispensed with, and the remaining one may sometimes be made in the outer leather piece. The opening at 5 may have a central fastener, and, as shown in Fig. 9, the part 15 may be a flap. Any of the constructions described may be formed from one piece of material folded along the middle, and they may be fitted with a disinfecting-pad or with a ring for attachment to a chain. They may also be gusseted, and may be secured by stitching &c. to the insides or outsides of satchels, handbags, wallets, purses, pocket-books, card cases, &c., and fastened by press-buttons, elastic-bands, clips, locks, &c.
