Abstract

25,167. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. Jan. 12, [Convention date]. Exciting. -I n order to prevent the production ot residual magnetism in a continuous - current dynamo, the magnet frame is provided d with an auxiliary winding fed from a source o f alternating current, the winding being so arranged that its lines of force join up without entering the space intended for the armature. The auxiliary winding may be wound wholly on the frame between the poles as at C<1>, or partly at C<1> and partly on the poles as at C<2>, C<3>. The windings. C<2>, C<3> are wound so that poles of like sign are produced at the ends of the poles next to the armature. In a modification, the coils C<2>, C<3> are wound on one side only of the poles, and arranged so that their lines of force link up with those produced by the winding C'. Specification 4533/03 is referred to.
