Abstract

22,788. Michelsen, C. J. Nov. 25, 1909, [Convention date]. Air, circulating.-Preserved meat, fish, &c. hung in a closed chamber are subjected to an air-current variable in intensity and direction by the use of two or more portable frames b provided with fans and with trays containing hygroscopic matter d. The air, driven in circles by the fans, alternately absorbs moisture from the material to be dried (shown as sausages hung from a frame) and is dried by the hygroscopic material and re-used.
