Abstract
22,559. Tomson, R. A., and Gloria Cycle Co. Sept. 29. Springs, arrangement of and mounting bodies and undercarriages on. - The arm 5, which is pivoted at one end 6 to the main frame, is curved downwards, in an approximately semicircular form so that its rear end, which carries the axle 4, is vertically below and clear of the casing 7 containing the spring 8. The spring bears against the closed upper end of the casing, and against a plate 10 pivotally connected at 11 to the arm 5. The upper side of the plate 10 is also pivoted to a rod 13 which passes out through the top of the casing. The plate 10 is thus free to remain in a plane at right-angles to the axis of the spring.
