Cutting-appliances.- A knife for making incisions in the bark of india-rubber trees &c. consists of a shank A, Fig. 1, having two arms B, B', bent towards the face of the shank about axes inclined to that of the shank and sharpened on their outer edges to form two cutting-hooks C, C<1>. The hooks may be bent towards the same or opposite faces of the shank. A suitable handle E is attached to the shank A.
