Abstract

19,149. Rollason, A. Aug. 15. Processes for reduction of grain.-In the milling of flour, dry air which has previously had its moisture contents reduced below 3À5 grains per cubic foot is circulated through the milling- chamber and is brought into contact with the rolls, centrifugals, sieves, &c:, as well as with the grain. The dried air may be circulated through the whole or any separate portion of the milling-machinery, and is admitted at a temperature of about 50‹ F.
