Abstract
19,085. Hope, E., and British United Shoe Machinery Co. Aug. 13. Wheels.-The pad over which the abrading- cover is stretched in a Naumkeg boot-buffing machine is constructed of sheet rubber provided with internal projections. The pad to receive the cover C has internal projecting ribs B<1>, which cross each other and form spaces in which air is imprisoned between the pad and a flat plate A', and thus provides an adequate support for the cover. The pad and cover are secured by a cup ring A<2>, which is screwed down, and which is released by a spring D when a new cover is to be put on.
