Convertible solid-fuel and gas stoves.-A tray or drawer carrying tubular burners is substituted for the removable bottom of the oven of a cooking-range to enable it to be heated by gas. The bottom of the front of the oven f may be removable with the bottom d, which is carried by grooves or flanges e. The drawer k, with fixed or detachable burner tubes l, internally or externally carried, has flanges w carried by the flanges &c. e. Elbows o on the ends of the burner tubes slide into position over the nipples h carried by the gas-supply pipe g. The front m has an air-admission opening n, and may be carried by the drawer, or be separate or cast on the oven front, the drawer then taking the form of a pan which is dropped into position. The bottom d may carry depending baffles guiding the combustion products from the sides to the front of the flue beneath it before passing to the rear.
