Mantle supports.-The mantle of a railway or like gas lamp, such as is described in Specification 21,366/09, is held in a support e having an external flange e<1>, for engagement with recessed lugs b, c on the lamp frame. One lug c is movable to admit the mantle support, and is preferably pivoted at k on the lamp frame and held up by a spring l. The support e may have an internal flange e<2> or other means for supporting the mantle ring d<1>. The outer flange e<1> may rest on the edge of a guard f, which is also supported by the lugs b, c. The movable lug c may be held in place by a rim m' on the reflector m.
