Metallic spring bodies and cores; tyre attachments to rims.-A helically-coiled spring tyre is characterized by forming alternate coils 3, Fig. 3, with squared extensions which fit between the teeth of a toothed metal rim 1, Fig. 2. The extensions are held laterally by plates 5. The plate on the bolt-head side is slotted, and engages projections 10 formed on the edge of the metal rim, so that the rim is prevented from creeping on a wooden felloe 13, Fig. 8, when this latter is used. In this modification the tyre is held radially by forming the extensions with lateral bulges 5<a>, which fit into concave grooves in the plates. A solid or hollow mass of indiarubber 12<a> may be vulcanized through the coils. The resilience of the tyre may be diminished by arranging the extremities of the teeth close to the circular coils 4.
