Abstract

11,620. Mooney, F. H., and Crane, F. S. May 10. Clamps, internal.- Separable fastenings adapted particularly for studs, dress and glove fastenings, &c. comprise a hollow stem 1 with outwardly - flared lower halves 2 and an inner sleeve 3 split to form a number of spring fingers 4, the two parts being secured together by depressing a central stem 8. The stem is provided with a bevelled head 7 adapted to engage an internal bevelled shoulder 10 in the sleeve 3 and force the spring fingers out into the flared extremity of the stem. Shoulders 6 prevent the complete withdrawal of the stem.
