Fittings, internal.-In a box for holding an inverted incandescent mantle, the disk for holding the mantle ring is supported by inner sides b and a bottom piece, which are secured by rivets, wire fastenings, &c. to the outer case, and one or more of the slots d for the reception of the feet of the mantle ring are fitted along part of their length with lids e consisting of the cut-away portions, and opening outwards. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, the lid e of one of the slots is formed with a cut-out portion g for the reception of one of the feet.
